The aim of this project is to support promising students and to forge links between education and industry. The project brief was to create a neckwear design that would appeal to our customers and be included in our AW18 neckwear collection.
Congratulations to Heather Robertson a 3rd year student from Nottingham Trent University who created the winning design.
Heather took inspiration from the Moroccan theme provided in the project brief and created a geometric pattern with a modern feel.
Heather visited Stephen Walters on the 30th May 2017 for a tour of the mill and the design studio. She was presented with a length of woven fabric for her portfolio and a tie which has been woven from her winning design.
Stephen Walters will be running similar projects over the coming years.
