Stephen Walters & Sons is always proud to support the local community and were were delighted to be able to do this again lat month when our sales manager Ceri Yates and our technical specialist Richard Heap were invited to Ormiston Academy in Sudbury.
There they took part in an event to help Year 9 students to build their confidence and develop their networking skills along with learning about the various careers on offer at local businesses.
Students spent some time with each company and asked questions such as:
- What does your company do?
- What type of jobs are available within your company?
- What do you expect from someone who works for your company?
We were able to outline the interesting and fulfilling careers we have on offer at our mill, and if we were able to inspire some future stars of the weaving industry in the process then that is an added bonus too!
